Port Noarlunga Primary School

Enrolment

Welcome to Port Noarlunga Primary School

We are a school that is often described by visitors as ‘having a great vibe’. While this is hard to explain in writing it is something that is palpable upon entry to the school. The caring nature of students, staff and families contributes to this ‘vibe’ and the culture of our school.

We take direction from the Department for Education goal “Growth for every student in every class in every school” and are intentional in increasing the impact that we have in each interaction.

Our location near the beach provides unique opportunities for our students including an annual Beach Carnival, lessons at the beach and involvement in community projects such as Adopt a Spot.

Thank you for your interest in our school.

Marie Wright
Principal

School Zone

Port Noarlunga Primary was formally a zoned school. We still operate within our active catchment area. Families residing within the catchment area are legible for enrolment from Reception to Year 6.

Age Cutoff
Children turning 5 before May 1st can begin Reception that same year. Children turning 5 after May 1st will begin Reception the following year, or choose to enrol from Term 3 during mid-year intake.

Offers are made to registered families on or before August the year prior.

Registration of Interest to Enrol

All families wishing to enrol need to complete a Registration of Interest to Enrol.

This can be completed via the online form linked below, or by phoning the school on (08) 8382 2455

School Tours

Tours are offered in small groups throughout the school year and led by Principal Marie Wright. They generally last 30-45 minutes. Children are welcome to attend. Families can choose their preferred tour time during the registration process (two dates per term).

Starting School Program

Led by the Reception Team, our Starting School Program is held every Friday afternoon in Terms 2 & 4 for all incoming Reception students. Sessions run between 1:45pm and 3pm.

This unique program gives students an opportunity to get familiar with their surroundings, their future classmates, and future teachers; and helps ease the pressures of that first day of school the following year.

Families are given the opportunity to attend the Starting School Program when enrolment is offered.
