For over 100 years, Port Noarlunga Primary School has celebrated its annual Sports Day with our much-loved Beach Carnival, held at Port Noarlunga Beach (along the Esplanade, south of the jetty).
The day is packed with tabloid events, Iron Boy and Iron Girl races, house cheers, staff vs students volleyball and more! It’s a fun, competitive and exciting day for everyone involved. Families are warmly invited to join us at the beach, cheer on our students and watch the action unfold!
This year, we’ll also have a coffee van parked at the top of the Esplanade from 10:00 am, serving hot and cold drinks for parents and caregivers! ☕

🎽 Show Your House Colours!
Students should arrive at school wearing their house colours. And don’t forget our staff team, the Squids!
🔵 Stingrays – BLUE
🔴 Swordfish – RED
🟢 Dolphins – GREEN
🟡 Sharks – YELLOW
🩷 Squids (Staff) – PINK

🎒 What to Wear & Bring
Bathers are not necessary! Students should arrive at school in their house colours and clothing that’s ready to get a little wet. Board shorts are always a popular choice!
There is no competitive swimming, but students will participate in water activities, including bucket races and running events in the shallow water (up to ankle or knee depth).
Students should wear comfortable walking shoes for the walk to the beach and bring:
- Packed recess, lunch and snacks
- Water bottle
- Towel
- School hat
- Sunscreen applied before school
We’ll also have extra sunscreen and water stations available at our main tent on the beach.
🙋 We Need Volunteers!
We’d love some extra helping hands to keep our Beach Carnival running smoothly!
Parent volunteers are stationed at individual tabloid activities to help classes set up, use equipment and keep the fun rolling.
If you’re able to lend a hand, please contact the school as soon as possible or message Woolly (Mike Woolford) via Frog. We’d really appreciate your support!
