Policies and Guidelines

Sunsmart Policy
Port Noarlunga Primary School has adopted a Sun Smart Policy.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all students attending our school are protected from skin damage caused by the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

The policy states:
Students will wear hats whenever they are playing or doing activities outside throughout the year.
Students who do not wear their hats will be required to spend recess and lunch in a designated covered area.
The school will incorporate sun and skin awareness activities into teaching programs.

Behaviour Management
The school has a policy to provide a safe environment in the yard and classroom. Students are taught the school rules and consequences for inappropriate behavior. Serious offences can be disciplined by suspension and / or exclusion from school. Our behaviour management policy is based on our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Independence, Caring and Honesty.
